László Vörös is a senior researcher at the Institute of History of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. His research focuses on the history of nationalism in East-Central Europe during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with a particular emphasis on Slovak popular nationalism, political consciousness, and mobilization within Dualist Hungary. He has also conducted research and published on the history of political corruption in the same geographical and chronological context. A significant portion of his scholarly efforts has also been dedicated to exploring the theory of nationalism in conjunction with the philosophy of history, social theory, and the theory of history. As part of the BENASTA project, he studies the Slovaks in the Dualist Kingdom of Hungary.
